Philosophy
It’s important to note that I try to photograph a little differently than those stiff look-straight-into-the-camera wedding portraits. There is so much more to capture than those. I believe in real connection and genuine moments. The core of my work is storytelling and documenting your wedding day just as it unfolds. I work with natural light and seldom use flash to create the evocate images that is my signature style.
I believe that it’s equally important that you like your photographer’s work, as it is that you connect with her/him. After all, your wedding photographer will be following you around all day on one of the most important days of your life, and who better to have third wheeling you than someone that you feel comfortable with, that will make you laugh and calm down some of those wedding butterflies? For the two of you be able to relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera I believe that it’s key that we get to know each other beforehand and meet as friends on your wedding day.
If you are looking for someone to just show up and take photos, I might not be the right photographer for you. The same goes if you are looking for a great bargain deal, I am sure that there are cheaper photographers out there than I. And that’s okay, because the most important thing is that you and your photographer values are the same. But if you are looking for someone that is more than just another vendor for you on your wedding and that puts her soul into her work to capture the two of you just like you are, then I am your girl.
